Home

This is where our journey begins and ends. Not "ends", in a metaphoric sense, or anything like that. It's just what I call the end of our roadtrip.

And no, we don't actually live at the airport, but close to it. Decided not to pinpoint our home address on a public web page. My apologies to our stalkers.

Las Vegas, NV

Viva Las Vegas.

Bryce Canyon National Park

Stayed at the most touristy place on our trip, but hey, they took dogs. Surprisingly good food.

Moab, UT

Moab wasn't as hot as we feared, at least not while we were there. We actually stayed 15-20 minutes outside of town, right alongside the Colorado river. Scenery was not terrible.

Durango, CO

Durango was great. Nice trail along the Animas river all through town.

Montrose, CO

Montrose is, well, it's near Black Canyon of the Gunnison.

Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park

I can see why some people like to make a game of seeing how many national parks they visit.

Gunnison, CO

Here we stayed in a pretty little cabin. Very pretty sunset. Sierra met her first horse.

Monarch Pass

From here, one dog can pee in each ocean.

Leadville, CO

All Aboard! Sierra and Kudos experience their first train ride aboard the Leadville, Colorado & Southern.

Breckenridge, CO

It'd been a while, or forever, since we had seen Breckenridge in the summer. Very nice. The walk around town that seems so far when it's 10 degrees below zero seems so easy now.

Golden, CO

Ah, Golden. "Where the West lives"

Placitas, NM

This is a beautiful part of New Mexico (one of many), where Dad and Rose have found a lovely home.

Flagstaff, AZ

We stayed here as a stopover on our way back home. Got to walk around "historic downtown Flagstaff" for a bit. Breathed in the history. Ate. Went back to the hotel and watched "So You Think You Can Dance?".
